Climate Change
We all contribute to climate change. Our homes use around 30% of the total energy consumed in the UK. Transport is responsible for 27%, and services and industry use over 40% of total energy. This means that we all play a part in creating climate change. It also means we can all do something about it.

Save!
The energy used by an average household gives out around 11,000 kg of CO2 every year. To cut that by 20% you need to save just over 2,000 kg of CO2. It’s easy and we can help you do it. If every person in Greater Manchester took the Manchester is my Planet pledge – that’s over 2.5 million of you! – we’d save over 5 million tonnes of CO2!
